A man who believed that a passport was your key to explore the world!
Early in my first few years of college I met Denis Preka in a stats class and he was just starting Amerigo Travel. His passion was showing the people of Detroit the beauties of the world. Being an Italian born citizen and moving to America at a young age, his wanderlust started very young and his heart grew only bigger every day.
Denis passed away before finishing his bachelor's degree with shared credits from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and the University of Detroit Mercy, where I met our great late friend, but not before he shared his ever-bright soul to the world around him impacting every person around him positively.
Before Denis passed he nicknamed me the Miracle Traveler for the crazy adventures I had when only a miracle could get me through!
